About Me

Hi, I’m Mimi, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and now creating from Newton, Massachusetts.

Family is at the heart of my journey. I’m a proud wife and mother of four, two incredible daughters and two amazing sons. My daughters, Nati and Luz, both with special needs, inspired me to launch Mimi Mar Art Design.

Art has always been a quiet calling in my life, a passion I carried alongside a long career in administration and finance. Nearly ten years ago, I rekindled that creative spark and began dreaming of building an art business that could also support my daughters. That’s how the Mimi Mar brand was born, and today, it’s an essential part of who I am.

What I’ve learned is that no experience in life goes to waste. My background as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an MPA from Harvard University, and over 20 years of experience in executive administrative roles, has shaped the artist and professional I am today. It’s made me disciplined, client-focused, and committed to excellence.

That combination of creativity and business insight allows me not only to create art that helps small businesses shine but also to coach artists and entrepreneurs on understanding the financial side of their work. I love doing both, creating art that connects and empowering others to build sustainable, purpose-driven businesses.

Proceeds from my work help build my daughters’ savings, supporting their path toward independence and a brighter future.
